IF Tallinn and 'Design Night Festival' passes on sale now

The 6th Design Festival Design Night and IF...Tallinn 2011 festival passes on sale now. September 16-25, Tallinn is overtaken by innovative design fans who are taking part in the European Innovation Festival IF... and Design Night festival. Within 2 years, six cities across Europe have organised their own Innovation Festival: Barcelona, Milan, Kortrijk, Lisbon, Vilnius and the upcoming festival in Tallinn. The festivals concentrated on the themes of innovation and user-friendly design, social inclusion, mobility, environmental awareness and the influence of technology on everyday life.

This year’s festival draws attention to people and their needs. The IF Tallinn pass provides free entrance to all of the Design Night exhibitions and events that require a ticket. Tickets can be bought through Piletilevi sales outlets and via www.piletilevi.ee. A pass costs 30 euros. Students and pensioners can purchase a pass for 24 euros.

The programme of this sixth Innovation Festival is as broad as to be expected from a European Capital of Culture. The programme involves more than 45 events. Even though the heart of the festival is located in the Rotermann quarter, several large museums, galleries and also the urban space are also involved. One of the centres of the festival is the Estonian Design House which is located in Kalasadam. At this location, the visitors can see and purchase the newest Estonian design works.
